For support, include your device model, iOS or watchOS version, and what happened. Please don’t send passwords or payment details. You can write in English or French.

How do I read the dial?

Each city has a hand marked with its letters. The outer scale shows a complete 24-hour day, moving counterclockwise: noon at the top, 18:00 on the left, midnight at the bottom, and 06:00 on the right.

The inner circle shows your device’s local minutes, with zero at the bottom. For cities with half-hour or quarter-hour offsets, use their hour hand or the city list for the exact local time.

How do I add or change cities?

Open Phileas on your iPhone and tap Add a city. Tap an existing city to change its name or letters. Use Edit to rearrange or remove cities. A small selection keeps the dial easy to read.

My Apple Watch isn’t showing my cities.

Check that Phileas is installed on your paired Apple Watch. Keep your iPhone and watch nearby, open Phileas on both, then tap Sync with Apple Watch on the iPhone. Settings can be queued while the watch is disconnected and delivered when it reconnects.

What do the dates and gold lines mean?

A city enters its next day when its hand passes the fixed midnight line. The second gold line is a moving date guide, slightly offset to keep city hands visible. The dates appear along the outer edge.

Tap the watch dial to see each city’s exact time and date. The dial’s date guides are a simplified model; actual time-zone boundaries and date-line exceptions are reflected in each city’s detailed reading.

Does the shading show actual sunrise and sunset?

The brighter upper half and darker lower half evoke daylight and night around a 24-hour dial. They are a visual guide to time of day, not a calculation of sunrise, sunset, or current sunlight at a city.

How do I reopen Phileas on my watch?

Press the Digital Crown to open your apps, then tap Phileas. Phileas is an app you open on your watch, rather than a replacement for Apple’s system watch faces.

Does Phileas work offline?

Yes. Each device keeps a local copy of your cities and calculates their times using the device’s clock and time-zone information. Syncing changes between your iPhone and Apple Watch requires the devices to reconnect.

Data used by the app

Phileas does not require an account. Your selected cities, time zones, hand letters, and related settings are stored locally on your devices. They are shared between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity service. These settings are not sent to the developer.

No advertising or tracking

The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not request your location, contacts, photos, or health data. City selections are made manually.

Support email

If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to include are received through Gmail and used to respond to your request. Support correspondence is separate from the data stored in the app. Please share only the information needed to explain the issue. Contact the same address with questions about your correspondence or to request its deletion.

Managing your settings

You can remove cities in the iPhone app and sync the change to your watch. Deleting Phileas from each device removes its local app data; copies in device backups are managed through your Apple backup settings.
